JAZZ IN THE CITY "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER"

RED CARPET HOSTESS

Jacksonville, FL was hot and popping at the Jazz in the City "Diamonds are Forever" event Friday, May 20th and Lady Sapphire was BLAZING as the "Red Carpet" hostess. You may have come to listen to your favorite artists and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the Cuba Libre Bar but Lady Sapphire was on a mission to make sure that the event was all the way LIVE! Literally, it was live "FACEBOOK LIVE" to be exact and it was so much fun! Those that could not make it out to the event was able to see what was going on and enjoy this huge personality as everyone at the venue did. Sapphire Entertainment PR was definitely in the house mingling with the crowd and the artists, taking photos, shooting video and interviewing special guests that came out to perform and show support to Toye Whitaker. If you don't know Lady Sapphire, you should get to know her and invite her out to be a hostess of your event as she is making some great moves. Excellent job Lady Sapphire, we had a blast!

SPECIAL PERFORMANCES

This was a night to remember for Toye Whitaker as he brought out some great talent to kick off another "Jazz in the City" event. There were performances from his daughter Toyy who came out and performed a few covers, The Loud Band with lead vocalists Brittany Wescott and Christopher Williams came and showed off their wonderful vocal and old school covers and the special guest of the night "Jatarra," American Idol Hollywood Contestant came and blew the roof off of the venue with a special set of covers and original music ending with her debut fan pre-single release "Magix." The crowd was thoroughly please as Mr. Whitaker can sleep well at night knowing that he pulled off another great event. Biography
18 year old Jaterra Presley a/k/a “JaTarra” was born in Jacksonville, Florida. JaTarra knew at a very early age she wanted to be a singer. She grew up being a big fan of Tina Turner, Jessie J, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige.  JaTarra has always been bold and never shy or afraid to sing in front of anyone as she was always ready to put on show.

In 2007, JaTarra started to turn heads after taking a chance and getting on the big stage. She was a contestant of “Amateur Night” at the Jacksonville Historic Ritz Theater. After JaTarra competed and defeated acts twice her age it was apparent that she would was destined for stardom. She quickly climbed within the competition to finish in 2nd place.

In 2011 JaTarra released her first solo EP and opened up for The OMG Girlz, Diggy Simmons, Jeremih, TK & Cash just to name a few. In 2013 JaTarra also entered and won the JAX Idol competition in Jacksonville, Florida with a grand prize of $1000 at only 16 years old. JaTarra’s presence commands the stage as she displays her dynamic vocal range and abilities reminiscent of Motown-era greats. JaTarra is vocally, a force to be reckoned with and she always leaves her audience begging for more.

In late 2013, JaTarra joined a girl group out of Jacksonville, FL in late 2013 as a lead singer. The group opened for acts such as; Fantasia, Tamar Braxton, Chrisette Michele, Doug E. Fresh, Jacob Latimore and Mindless Behavior, just to name a few. Even though the group opened many opportunities for JaTarra, she knew that her next journey to her dreams would require going out on her own. In 2015 JaTarra decided to go solo an audition for American Idol where she made it all the way to Hollywood, CA. Unfortunately JaTarra’s did not continue from that stage of the competition and was sent home. However, this did not deter her from continuing her goals from becoming a great artist. JaTarra constantly striving to be the all-around performer and she is not afraid to show vulnerability to her fans and hides nothing on stage. She brings pure power and excitement to the stage and this is only the beginning.

BRONZE BLAZED LIVE "ALL WHITE" LAUNCH PARTY, NY

It's late I know, please charge it to my heart. I know that everyone has seen numerous amounts of flyers and announcements blowing up social media over the past (7) months about the Private Event Only "Bronze Blazed Live Launch Party." Well it has come and gone and Lady Sapphire of Sapphire Entertainment PR was in the house as a "Special Guest" and Industry Professional along with my talented artist "JATARRA." It was a weekend to remember if I do say so myself. Let me see where should I start...

Let's begin with how my day started and eventually ended. After going through your typical airport chaos, I finally landed in New York where it took me (2) hours to get to my hotel that was accidentally referred to myself and other guests in error, but that is another story for another time. I finally got to the room where I was able to lay down and prepare for the event. All White "Strictly Enforced" Dress code was the rule for the evening but I think "Bronze Blazed" forgot the very memo she sent out as she graced the stage in a cute ALL BLACK DRESS! Well, I guess you can do that when you are the honoree. Anyway, the event started off with the "Almighty Q," who provided great insight on the music industry and actually provided beneficial information that is pertinent for a successful journey in the music business. He was very engaging and hilarious. I actually think that he missed his calling as he should have been a comedian. Bronze Blazed came out next with her giant smile and introduced the crowd to Lady Sapphire.

I provided some background information of my time working in the Entertainment Industry and provided information about my Public Relations Company and how my company is helping businesses and entertainment professionals. I then introduced "JATARRA" who not only sung her face off, but she actually put on a great performance. I didn't think that the crowd was ready for the fire that came from this young lady. American Idol was a blessing but "JATARRA'S" future will far exceed that experience. The Legendary DJ. KAOS of Zulu Nation stated that "she is going to be WORLDWIDE," and I believe that sir! The remainder of the evening as enlightening as other entrepreneurs took the stage to speak about their products and gratitude for the opportunity of being apart of the networking event.

Comedians Miss T Bizzle, had me screaming... with yo nasty self and comedian Ricky Barrino had the whole place on the floor. We were thoroughly entertained by additional artists such as Daddie Notch and Swamp City Bigfoot NYC. There were dancers and all sorts of entertainment professionals their to talk about their businesses. Everyone looked awesome in their white and the networking was so amazing. I would like to personally give a shout out to Big Ang's friends from Staten Island who came out to pay tribute to their fellow ride or die "Drunken Monkey." They were one of the highlights of the evening, so much fun and lots of liquor. Linda Agro D'Onfrio Torres, you're my chick to hang with.

I can go on and on about the great people I met at this event. I am so appreciative that I was invited and was acknowledged for my contribution to this industry (grinding since 2001). I love to see people get together, really appreciate one another and truly take time to get to know one another and what we do as a business. It was truly a fun event, looking forward to many more to come!
